Projevuje se z\u010derven\u00e1n\u00edm poko\u017eky na obli\u010deji, krku a horn\u00ed \u010d\u00e1sti hrudn\u00edku. A\u010dkoli se tato reakce m\u016f\u017ee na prvn\u00ed pohled zd\u00e1t ne\u0161kodn\u00e1, ve skute\u010dnosti jde o d\u016fsledek hromad\u011bn\u00ed toxick\u00e9ho acetaldehydu, kter\u00fd vznik\u00e1 p\u0159i metabolismu alkoholu. Jak tento jev souvis\u00ed s genetikou?<br><br>Za norm\u00e1ln\u00edch okolnost\u00ed je alkohol metabolizov\u00e1n ve dvou kroc\u00edch:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Enzym <strong>alkoholdehydrogen\u00e1za<\/strong> (ADH) p\u0159em\u011bn\u00ed ethanol na acetaldehyd.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Enzym <strong>acetaldehyddehydrogen\u00e1za<\/strong> (ALDH) rozkl\u00e1d\u00e1 acetaldehyd na kyselinu octovou.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<p>Alkoholov\u00e9 z\u010derven\u00e1n\u00ed vznik\u00e1 v d\u016fsledku p\u0159\u00edtomnosti genetick\u00fdch variant, kter\u00e9 zp\u016fsobuj\u00ed, \u017ee enzym alkoholdehydrogen\u00e1za p\u0159em\u011b\u0148uje ethanol na acetaldehyd 70\u201380kr\u00e1t rychleji ne\u017e u b\u011b\u017en\u00e9 populace.
